Wetter for western Scotland and Ireland

Good morning,

Southwesterly breezes prevail today. Rather cloudy overall, but south and eastern counties of England stay largely dry through the daytime, a little sun mainly this morning in the east.

Patchy rain and drizzle affects northwest England and west Wales, becoming more persistently damp as the day goes on, with murky low cloud over the hills and coasts in these areas.

Heavier persistent rain affects Ireland, pulses of rain extend through Northern Ireland. Also wet much of the day for western Scotland, some heavy and thundery bursts possible.

Eastern Scotland and northeast England will be drier with some bright spells, local sun breaking through downwind from the hills.

Today's top temperatures will reach 21C in East Anglia and the southeast, nearer 18C in central areas, 16C toward the west and northwest of Britain and across Ireland in rain. Northeast Scotland also locally warmer at 19C on the Moray coast.

Have a great day.
