Cool and breezy with a mix of sunshine and showers

Good morning,

It's a breezy and chilly morning out there. A brisk northwesterly wind is affecting all parts of the country bringing sunny spells for many. However, there are some showers too, most affecting northern and western coasts and hills. having said that, some showers are occurring inland too, moving through in bands.

This afternoon stays cool and breezy with sunshine and scattered showers. An odd shower could be heavy but shouldn't last that long, being blown through quickly on the wind. Heavier showers may merge into longer spells of rain in northern and western Scotland as well as central and northern Ireland.

Cool tonight with further isolated showers, most again affectind northern and western coasts and hills.
