Dry and fine for most yet chilly
A cold start with a touch of frost in a few spots. A bright and sunny start for many. The odd scattered light shower but most will be dry.
Higher cloud will gradually build in from the west and thicken across Ireland and Northern Ireland through the day with outbreaks of rain moving in here. Staying dry elsewhere with lasting suny spells further east.
Overnight, winds strengthen from a milder south-westerly direction. Outbreaks of rain push east across Scotland clearing many areas here by dawn. Rain also affecting northern England and Wales into southwest England. Staying dry in the far south and southeast.
