Morning Call - May 03, 2017
Cold south & east
Warm north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 3rd May 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cold and cloudy east and south, warm and dry west and north, breezy for many

Good morning,

A contrast between north and south today. Across southern and southeast England it is going to be cloudy for most of the day and feeling cold in a strong northeast wind. There will be some spots of rain around, mostly close to the far southeast coasts of East Anglia and eastern Kent, although some of these spreading a little further west.

Across Scotland, northern England, western Wales and Ireland, any morning cloud breaks quickly to leave everywhere dry with lots of sunshine. Little change is expected here through the afternoon and it will be feeling warm in western areas too.

Tonight sees many areas dry. Breezy in the south and east with cloud bringing a few spots of rain and drizzle. Dry to the north and west, skies being clearer here.
