Morning Call - November 01, 2019
Outbreaks of rain

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 1st November 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A cloudy day across the UK and Ireland with outbreaks of rain for many. Breezy to the southwest and northeast.

Good morning,

A cloudy and wet start to the day for many with the exception of the far northeast of Scotland. A few mist and fog patches to the south and southwest first thing. Rain eases from the southwest through the morning but leaves lingering mist and fog patches in some areas.

Rain persists over much of Scotland through the morning and afternoon but continues to ease over central parts of England. Showers, some of them heavy, following into southwestern parts of England and Wales and may merge at times to give further longer spells of rain. Winds pick up to the southwest reaching near gale force through the afternoon. High temperatures at 7 to 10C for much of Scotland, generally 12 to 16C for England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Showers and outbreaks of rain continue for most areas into the evening with patchy mist or fog patches to the northeast. Continuing windy for southern areas while winds also pick up to the far north into the evening.

Have a good day!
