In the afternoon, cloud begins to build in northern Scotland, with a few patches of drizzle. Brighter skies with sunny spells across northern England and Northern Ireland. Staying largely cloudy in the south, with one or two isolated showers in Wales and the Midlands, and a few spots of rain in East Anglia.
Overnight, showers in northern Scotland, turning heavy at times. Showers too across western Ireland, spreading into central and eastern regions in the south.
