Morning Call - January 20, 2025
Cloudy and cool
Some rain northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 20th January 2025
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Quiet start to the week

Good morning,

England and Wales are influenced by a ridge of high pressure extending from a general high over central Europe today. Low pressure is centred well to the northwest of Scotland.

A weak cold front is draped through northern England and southern Ireland. Another weak occluded front is near the Western Isles.

A lot of cloud affects many places, keeping things feeling chilly. Some rain for northwest England and north Wales. Local showers for western Scotland. Brighter toward eastern Scotland. Some brighter spells toward the southwest of England.

Today's top temperatures 3 to 7C, coolest in central and northern England. Up to 10C for Ireland.

Have a great day.
Garry
