Rain in the east easing

Good morning,

The cool weather continues early this week with northerly winds prevailing.

Persistent rain this morning across eastern England, slowly clearing, but a cold and unpleasant day here.

A mix of sunshine and showers for many places, the most frequent showers moving southwards across Scotland during the day. Some heavy and locally thundery bursts also forming over the Pennines and moving south into the Midlands later in the afternoon.

More often dry for Wales, southwest England and much of Ireland.

Today's top temperatures only reaching 11 to 16C, highest toward southern England with some sunnier spells.

Have a great day.
Garry
