Morning Call - December 23, 2015
Brighter & fresher
Breezy, showers in west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 23rd December 2015
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A brighter and fresher day, heavy showers in Scotland this morning

Good morning,

A cooler day ahead. Winds are arriving from the west this morning and these making it feel chilly at the bus stop or out in the fields. One or two showers on western coasts and hills. The showers heavier in western and central parts of Scotland, and these will be turning to snow over the hills, feeling especially cold in the wind.

Bright spells for most this afternoon, the best of the sunshine in the east. The showers tending to fade from Scotland too, although one or two left in more northern areas. Thicker cloud and rain arriving in Ireland and western Scotland later, the winds picking up here too.

A breezy night to come with rain in the north and west, some of it heavy at times. The winds keeping temperatures up though.
