Morning Call - January 14, 2025
Bright spells east
Mild temperatures

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 14th January 2025
Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

Mostly cloudy with bright spells and mild temperatures. Some drizzle in west Scotland.

Good morning,

High pressure remains parked south of England, facilitating a moist southwesterly flow over the Isles. Lots of cloud typically comes with this air. Morning fog patches will develop in the south where winds are calmer. Many areas will see bright spells, some brief sunnier moments possible in the east. West Scotland will be cloudy and drizzly.

A weak front passes north of Scotland overnight. Some stray showery rain may reach northern or northwest areas, though nothing substantial. Breezy here too.

Today's top temperatures reach 8C or 9C in many places. Southeast England will be slow to warm while fog lingers. Warmer in Ireland with highs up to 12C.

Have a great day.
