Issued: 0530hrs Friday 29th November 2024 Duty forecaster: Dan Graves
Southwesterly winds bring moisture, followed by milder air
Good morning,
Most will see a dry start to the morning and a brisk southeasterly breeze. Cloud coverage will be quite full in most areas, dropping drizzle along northwestern coasts and hills. Afternoon cloudiness will break up in the eastern Midlands, East Anglia and southeast England. The west will not be so fortunate, with mostly cloudy conditions prevailing and afternoon rain in Northern Ireland and along the west coast of Britain. Northern Ireland get's its first push of milder air, staying approximately 11C most of the day. Britain wakes up to 4's and 5's in the morning, warming to 7C in most areas, warmer in Cornwall.
While winds and clouds will persist overnight, rains should ease a bit and temperatures will begin to warm, reaching as high as 12C in Wales, southwest England and Northern Ireland overnight. This warmth will spread into Britain throughout the next day as well.
Let's hope for a mild Saturday! -Dan
