A better day
Showers in west

A better day for most of us

Good morning,

A much better day is in prospect for today, once we have lost the cold front to the east which has been bringing some rain overnight and this morning. That should be clearing east soon and then drier weather will be arriving from the west. Turning fresher for all as well, and in fact there could be some reasonable spells of snushine across much of central and southern England, eastern England and eastern Scotland this afternoon.

In the west the wind will be increasing again as we head into this afternoon, and after a few showers this morning, these will be turning more frequent over western coasts and hills. A few of them becoming heavy too, especially later on.

Showers should fade tonight, then dry for most, although rain and drizzle over western Scotland and Ireland, and this perhaps affecting western Wales and western England later in the night.
