Month ahead - July 22, 2016
Valid from 29/07 to 25/08 2016
A mixed month

Issued: Friday 22nd July 2016
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A mixed month, some wetter and some drier periods

July is expected to be a month of two halves. The start of the month is likely to be unsettled with periods of rain, rather cool and with strong winds at times too. The second half of the month turns drier and warm for most.

*29/7/16 - 4/8/16*
Indications are that the end of July and early August is likely to be an unsettled period.
Fronts passing eastwards bringing rain and showers, together with strong winds at times. Generally cool in the north, warmer south at times.

*5/8/16 - 11/8/16*
Pressure is forecast to build west of Ireland during this week. This brings more settled conditions, especially in the west with some reasonable spells of sunshine. Showers north and east at first, easing.

*12/8/16 - 18/8/16*
Things again returning to more unsettled weather. There will be rain or showers, most in the north, although drier and warmer through more southern parts.

*19/8/16 - 25/8/16*
We may see some fair days through the week. It may be a very warm start, but then becoming thundery before turning cooler and more unsettled later.

**ends**
