Cold, unsettled Mediterranean, drier northern Europe and cold
Sunday Remaining very unsettled often stormy for eastern Mediterranean from Italy to Greece with showers or longer spells of often heavy rain. It will be windy in places to with a risk of gales. Heavy snow and blizzards across Switzerland, Austria to southeast France. Significant fresh accumulations of snow are expected to fall here with difficult travel conditions. Sunshine and showers for Belgium, the Low Countries and northeast France. High pressure brings mainly dry weather to Scotland and then through the rest of France, Spain and Portugal.
Monday Rain for western Portugal today. Fair for Spain with good spells of sunshine for many, although some cloud over northern coasts. Windy in the Balearics, some sunny spells here. Cold and showery across Sardinia and Corsica. Further heavy showers central and southern Italy but fair in the north. Showers and rain in western Greece and for western Turkey. Breezy in France, feeling cold here with sunny spells and dry weather. The Low Countries are dry and cool with sunny spells. Fair in Germany and staying dry here as well as cool. Poland will be dry and sunny but breezy in the south and cold for all. A few snow flurries in Hungary but dry and bright for Austria and Switzerland. Fair in Denmark, good spells of sunshine here. Some snow flurries for the Baltic States. Finland becomes drier although stays cold. Remaining cold in much of Sweden. Cloudy in Norway, some snow in the north.
