Saturday
High pressure lies to the west, whilst low pressure is over Scandinavia, and also south-eastern Europe. Fair weather continues for Iberia, warmest in southern Portugal and south-west Spain, again 20C or above. Dry across the western Mediterranean, much of Italy, the Alps, southern Germany and France. A good amount of sunshine, but possible low-lying fog patches in the morning. Areas of rain for Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, risk of thunderstorms.
A cold front moves south-east across southern Scandinavia into northern-central Europe. Heavy rain moves from Sweden and Denmark in the morning into northern Germany and Poland by the middle of the day and afternoon. Showers follow for Denmark and the Netherlands. Frequent rain and snow for western Norway. Bright but cold across northern Scandinavia, with temperatures staying near or below freezing.


Sunday
Little change across western Europe, with high pressure bringing fair weather to France, Spain and Portugal, again warmest toward the south-west. A cold front moves south across central Europe, bringing snow for the Alps. A mistral wind for southern France. A few areas of rain or showers for southern Italy, Greece and Black Sea coasts. Largely dry across the Balkan states and Hungary.
A chilly north-westerly wind affects Germany and the Low Countries, with showers spreading off the North Sea. Bands of rain advance east into Poland and the Czech Republic, with some snow over the mountains. Cold across Scandinavia, with northern areas staying below freezing by day. Scattered snow showers for northern Norway. Brighter in central Norway and Sweden. Showery around the Baltic.
