Torrential central thunderstorms extending to eastern Spain

Tuesday
Fine and warm for Portugal and central-southwestern Spain. Thunderstorms for eastern Spain to southwest France. Showers forming over the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. Some showers for western Greece, but the Greek islands generally dry.
Some thundery downpours for the Alps to western Germany. Local showers for northern France to Belgium and the Netherlands, but dry spells too. Eastern Germany into Poland and much of eastern Europe will be warm and humid with mostly dry weather.
Southerly winds for Scandinavia, also warm and dry around the Baltic. Rain for southern Norway may reach western Sweden. Showery bursts for Denmark. Risk of showers moving north over Finland.

Wednesday
Heavy showers and thunderstorms affecting eastern Spain on Wednesday. Better for central and western areas of Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. Scattered showers in the Balearics. Further showers for Italy too, most in the east where they could be heavy. Greece should be fair with sunshine although a few showers in the west. Turkey will be dry with sunshine for most although a few showers in the south.
Heavy thunderstorms in southern France but drier and brighter in the north with sunny spells. The Low Countries will be brighter and dry overall. Heavy rain in central and southern Germany, some of it thundery. Poland should be dry and bright. Fair for Hungary with more sunshine here although torrential thunderstorms in Austria and Switzerland.
Heavy rain in Denmark, some of it thundery. Heavy rain too extending to southwest Norway. The Baltic States will be breezy with sunny spells. Fair too in Finland with some sunny spells here. Sweden should be mostly fair with some bright spells, but sunshine in the north.
