Very warm and sunny in southern Europe, cooler Scandinavia


Christmas Day
A fine and warm Christmas Day across Spain and Portugal. More dry and sunny weather to come in the Balearics, as well as for Italy. Remaining fine and dry in Greece and Turkey with sunshine here.
Dry and fair in France and staying sunny. Cloud and some drizzle in the Low Countries as well as western and southern Germany, but fair to the north. Fair too in most of Poland, although there could be some showers to the south. Cloud and a few spots of drizzle for Hungary, mostly fair and mild in Austria and Switzerland.
Denmark will be fair and mild with good spells of sunshine. Breezy with a few showers to come in the Baltic States. Windy with wintry showers through Finland, so a cold return home for Father Christmas and the reindeer! Gales in much of Sweden, and gales with wintry showers across Norway too.


Boxing Day
PLenty of warm and sunny weather across Spain and Portugal on Boxing Day. This fine weather extends into the Mediterranean, affecting the Balearics, Italy and Greece. Turkey stays fine too.
Fair for most of France with warm spells of sunshine developing. The Low Countries are likely to be bright and dry too, as well as warm. Staying warm in Germany and remaining dry, with the fair weather also affecting Switzerland and Austria.
Wet and cloudy for southern Denmark. Fair in the Baltic States, but colder with a few snow showers in Finland. Staying chilly but dry in Sweden. The southern half of Norway will be dry too, but there will be snow showers to the north.
