Fine and summery across the Mediterranean

Today
Sunny and hot across Portugal, and Spain, and very warm across much of Europe. Lots of fine, summery, sunny weather is expected from Iberia eastward across southern France. More cloud and showers to affect northern France, Holland and Belgium with heavy rain across Germany and northern parts of Poland. A dry day for southern Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria, The Adriatic Region along with the Balkans. Very warm across Italy and Greece with a few sharp afternoon showers. Frequent, heavy showers are forecast for the Baltic States and northern Russia. Rain is expected across Finland with a cool, dry day across Sweden and Norway. Fine, summery conditions are forecast across the Mediterranean Region. Brisk east winds will prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar with brisk north west winds in the Aegean Sea.



Monday
Even hotter today across Spain and Portugal with temperatures well into the 40s. Generally a more unsettled day to come across Europe. Rain is forecast across northern France with plenty of heavy showers across Germany, Poland, Austria, Croatia and Hungary. These tend to merge into longer spells of rain. A dry day across Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, The Ukraine and southern Russia, Heavy showers to affect northern Russia. A cloudier day today across Italy with a risk of showers and rain in places. A better day to com across Finland with sunny spells. It continues fine and dry for Sweden and Norway. Fair and dry across Denmark, The Netherlands and Belgium. A strong mistral develops across southern France and windy down through Sardinia.
