Showery rain south Scandinavia; sunshine western Norway
High pressure remains over northern Scandnavia and Russia, whilst low pressure lies to the west of Biscay. Heavy rain and some thunderstorms will affect Portugal from early morning, the rain advancing increasingly north-east across Spain during the daytime. Some south-eastern Costas may escape dry, but expect thundery rain in north-east Spain, which will drift east across the Balearics. Likely to stay dry for Corsica, Sardinia and much of Italy. Showers for mainland Greece. Warm and sunny around the Aegean and Black Seas.
Dry with plenty of sunshine for France, highs 15 to 20C, warmest in the south-west. A lot of cloud across Germany and eastern Europe. A few showers for central Germany. Largely dry for the Alps, Balkans, Hungary & Bulgaria. Persistent rain for eastern Poland and western Ukraine, but should clear from northern Romania. A chilly easterly wind continues for southern Scandinavia. Showery for Denmark, also southern Norway and Sweden. Northern Scandinavia remains dry and cold, around 5C. Extensive low cloud around the Baltic, but sunshine in western Norway.
Low pressure remains west of Biscay, bringing unsettled conditions to western Spain and Portugal. Some persistent rain or thundery showers as a cold front advances eastwards. Windy in western Iberia. Eastern Spain may escape dry most or all day. Scattered showers across the western Mediterranean including the south coast of France and north-west Italy. Some thunderstorms may affect southern Italy and Sicily. Substantially dry weather affects south-eastern Europe. Warm in Greece , highs 20 to 24C.
Locally very warm in south-western France, 25C to the lee of the Pyrenees. Risk of showers for central France, and some persistent rain toward Brittany. Dry and cool across central-northern Europe with an easterly breeze. 10 to 12C for Germany, Poland and the Low Countries. Showers or some persistent rain for southern Scandinavia. Windy around the Baltic and remaining dull for most of Sweden. Sunshine for western Norway.
