Settled and plentiful sun across central Europe, sandwiched between active weather in the Aegean Sea and the north.


Friday
A mix of clouds and sun will dominate the Iberian peninsula with showers along Portugal's west coast into northwest Spain. A fine sunny day will prevail on the Beleric islands.
Rainy and snowy remnants from Thursday's weak storm will push south from northern Croatia and Serbia to North Macedonia, western Bulgaria and Albania. To the east, widespread clouds likely all day. Low pressure will begin developing over this regions, pushing a band of rain southward through Italy, with light rains reaching Sardinia and Corsica. The rains will graze the Greek west coast, though inland likely to receive only clouds. The rain will stretch northeast through Romania and migrate east bringing a period of light to moderate rain. Light showers, some wintery, will follow in the wake of this rain band.
Switzerland, Austria, northern Italy, and France will see a fine day with plentiful sun as high pressure sits atop Germany. Dry with sunny spells likely in Germany, Poland, and the Baltics with a light breeze. Light showers, some wintery, may linger in southern Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary. More widespread cloud likely to prevail to the east and north.
Winds increase across the UK and the North Sea into Scandinavia. Expect showery rain on Britain's west coast, stronger in the north. Norway's coastal mountains will see snowfall through much of the day, while Sweden, Finland, and Denmark will see mostly cloudy skies with occasional light showers.


Saturday
A light southwesterly Atlantic breeze will maintain clouds over Portugal and western Spain, eastern Spain enjoying plentiful sunshine with scattered clouds. High pressure in eastern Europe will stretch sunny conditions through eastern France, Germany, and the Alps all the way to Poland, giving central Europe a fine, settled day. Though mostly cloudy, there will be potential for sunny spells further east in Ukraine, Belarus, and Lithuania, a blanket of clouds further north.
The Balearics and Sardinia and Corsica will have a sunny day with scattered clouds. Further east, a low pressure system will park over the Adriatic Sea between southern Italy and Greece all day. Expect strong winds and plentiful rain in southeast Italy, Greece, and the Aegean Sea, some quite heavy with thunder. The Balkan countries will also experience higher winds. Snow is likely to fall on upland regions. Southern Hungary and Romania will receive some of this weather, but further north will experience more settled conditions with sunbreaks.
The British Isles and Scandinavia will see higher winds from the southwest and west, respectively, and mostly cloudy skies. Coasts and mountains facing the wind will see showers throughout the day, heaviest on the Norwegian coast. Southern Sweden and Denmark mostly fine with occasional sunbreaks. A band of rain and snow will push across central Sweden and southern Finland, lingering longer in Finland.
