Heavy, thundery rain in the west, fine and warm east


Tuesday
Hotter weather is expected across much of Europe today. An area of heavy rain with a risk of thunderstorms extends from south west England into western parts of France into Portugal and Spain. Eastern France and all areas eastward across Germany, The Low Countries into Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria and The Baltic States will have a fine, summery day with lots of sunshine.
Southern parts of Italy will again see a few heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms develop as will Greece while northern Italy is sunny and dry. Much of The Adriatic Region and The Balkans will be very warm and dry. Just a few showers develop across parts of Turkey but chiefly dry and sunny.


Wednesday
Thundery rain and showers affecting much of northern Spain on Wednesday. Southern Spai and Portugal should be dry with good spells of sunshine. Scattered showers for the Balearics. Sunny spells and a few heavier showers forming in Italy, although wetter in Corsica and Sardinia. Sunny spells and showers for Greece and Turkey, a few heavy ones here and there.
Low pressure bringing thundery rain across central and southern parts of France. Scattered showers to north, humid here too. Dry for the Low Countries and Germany with sunny spells. Poland should be dry with sunshine too as will be Hungary and Austria. Showers in Switzerland.
Denmark will be dry with plenty of sunshine and warm here too. Fair weather for the Baltic States and Finland with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. More sunshine to come in Sweden. Norway should be dry and sunny, just a low risk of a shower.
