Dry and sunny southern Spain and Portugal
A cluster of thunderstorms moves from eastern Spain across the Balearics early on Sunday morning. Dry and sunny for southern Spain and most of Portugal, highs of 27C in Andalucia. Thundery downpours will affect the Pyrenees through the day. The north-west of France will also see thundery rain. North-east France, the Low Countries and western Germany should be dry and sunny. Scattered thundery showers for the Alps and Czech Republic. Widely thundery for southern Poland, Slovakia and northern Romania. Italy and Greece are mostly dry, whilst showers will break out for the Balkans. Widely very warm across central and southern Europe, 25 to 30C or above. Hot again in southern Sweden. A strengthening breeze for Norway, and rain will move into northern parts of Scandinavia as pressure falls here.
Slack pressure remains across central Europe, generating more slow-moving thundery downpours. These will break out extensively across France, the Alps and central-eastern Europe, particularly Romania. Thunderstorms also affect northern Spain, although southern Iberia will stay dry and sunny, 25 to 28C on eastern Costas. Widely hot and humid conditions for central, south and eastern Europe, widely approaching or topping 30C. The Mediterranean will be dry and sunny, including much of Italy and Greece . Also, most of Germany and the Low Countries should also avoid the thunderstorms. Southern Scandinavia remains very warm, although northerly winds will strengthen across the north, with some rain.
