Areas of snow for eastern parts of Germany, spreading east into the Czech Republic, also Austria. Patchy snow also reaches western areas of Poland. Mild in France, with some sunshine, although cloudy near Biscay coasts. Drizzly rain for Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, also northern Germany. Dry for central Europe, including the Alps. Patchy snow around the Baltic Sea. Less cold than recently for Scandinavia, although temperatures still close to freezing. The bitter cold temperatures will become confined to far eastern Europe and Russia.
