Rain in much of northern Europe but fine, dry and sunny in the south
Tuesday Showery rain for northern Portugal and northwest Spain. Staying sunny and warm for southern Iberia and the western Mediterranean. Italy and Greece also hot and largely dry, chance of isolated late afternoon showers. One or two showers popping up for the Alps and Balkan mountains. Low pressure and fronts to the northwest brings rain to north and western France, heavy rain sweeping into Belgium, later the Netherlands. Dry for central, south and eastern France. A fine day for Germany, high cloud building in western areas. Warm and sunny for Czechia and Poland. Local showers for Slovakia and Hungary. Heavy showers for Finland, local showers for northern Norway and Sweden, but most of southern Norway and Sweden will be dry. A little rain possible for Denmark.
Wednesday Some rainfall in north-western Spain on Wednesday. The rest of Spain and Portugal will stay dry with plenty of sunshine and will be feeling very warm. The holiday resorts of the central Mediterranean will also be staying hot and sunny. Italy is dry with plenty of sunshine, just a low risk of a shower in the north. Greece will be dry and sunny as well as warm and it will be similar in western Turkey, although showers developing over inland parts of Turkey during the day. Some rain in the eastern parts of France, and another area of rain affecting the far north-west. Other areas will have broken clouds and sunny spells. The Lowcountry's will be bright and generally dry. Heavy showers in the western parts of Germany, but some rain in the east. Poland will be wet in the west but dry in the east. Hungary will be dry and bright with good spells of sunshine, but heavy showers affecting Austria and Switzerland. Rain clears east through Denmark to leave it brighter with sunny spells. That heavy rain affecting southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Fair and warm although breezy through the Baltic states. Fine and dry in Finland. Northern Sweden and northern Norway will also be dry and sunny.
