Wet and windy northern Europe. Central and southern showers starting to fade
Most of Spain and Portugal will be dry and sunny, just a few light showers around Eastern Spain and the Balearics. Low pressure brings heavy, possibly thundery rain or showers to Corsica, Sardinia, Southern Italy and Western Greece but Northern Italy, the Adriatic and the rest of Greece, across into Turkey will be mostly dry with spells of sunshine.
Much of France will be dry with some sunshine, although the north will be cloudier with a few showers. Scattered showers over Switzerland, Austria and Central Europe at first but dying out, while it will stay dry towards the Black Sea Coast with sunny spells.
Some showers for the Low Countries too, while low pressure moving east across Scandinavia will bring rain here for a time, extending into the north of Germany and Poland, followed by sunny intervals and showers.
Warm in the south and east, highs in the mid to high 20s and locally exceeding 30C in Southern Portugal and Southwest Spain. Noticeably cooler for many central and western parts, values typically into the mid-teens and lower still much of Scandinavia.
The slight risk of an isolated shower but Portugal, Spain and the Balearics will remain largely dry and sunny. Heavy rain or showers continue to circulate around Sardinia, Southern Italy and western parts of Greece but Corsica, Northern Italy and the Adriatic coast should stay dry with spells of sunshine. Showers around Eastern Greece and some of the islands but dry and mostly sunny in Turkey.
Showers move down through Central and Eastern France into Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland with dry and brighter weather following. The Low Countries, Northern Germany and central and southeastern parts of Europe will be mostly dry with some sunshine and only isolated light showers but showers are more likely over Poland.
A mixture of sunshine and showers for Scandinavia, the showers most frequent around the northwest of Norway, Finland and the Baltic States.
Cool for many central and northern areas but still fairly warm in the south.
