Mixed conditions prevail over much of Europe with lower pressure in control
Any lingering showers over northern Spain fade to leave a mostly bright and dry day across the country. Dry and bright for Portugal. Outbreaks of rain affecting the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia as well as western parts of Italy. An area of low pressure over the Aegeaen Sea brings heavy, thundery downpours to Greece, Cyprus and western Turkey.
A showery day for much of France, the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Showers turn wintry over the Alps. Showery too for western parts of Poland and the Czech Republic while eastern areas stay dry and fair. A dry and mostly bright day for Hungary and Slovakia.
Showers affect Denmark, southern Sweden and western parts of Norway. Drier for northern Sweden with the best of the sun to the east. Early showers fade over Finland leaving a dry but cloudy day here. A dry day too for the Baltic States with good spells of sunshine developing.
A dry and fine day for Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia. Skies may turn cloudier over northern Spain at times. Early rain clears from southern Italy and Sicily to leave a dry and fine day across the country. Showery outbreaks of rain continue for Greece and western Turkey though these tend to ease and clear to the northeast through the day.
Rain spreads across northern and central parts of France, the Low Countries, Switzerland and Germany, reaching western parts of Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria by the evening. Ahead of this, to the east, the day starts dry and fine while cloudier skies and scattered showers follow for western areas.
A very wet and windy day for Denmark with heavy bursts of rain also affecting southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Brighter over northern areas with just occasional scattered wintry showers. A cloudy day for Finland and the Baltic States with scattered showers. Rain arrives over western parts of the Baltic States much later in the day.
