Lower pressure brings mixed condition to the western and central Mediterranean


Friday
Heavy periods of rain through Portugal and western Spain. Dry in eastern parts of Spain with sunny spells. Southern Italy should be dry with more sunshine and dry conditions, northern areas see heavy outbreaks of rain developing. Greece is likely to be dry with more sunshine. Breezy in Turkey, dry in the south but some snow to the far north.
Heavy showers in southwest France. Fair to the north, sunny spells here. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry with fog patches clearing. Poland, Hungary and Austria as well as Hungary should be dry with more sunshine.
Fair for Denmark. Breezy in the Baltic State with passing showers. Finland will have a stiff breeze and a few snow showers. Windy in southern Sweden, mostly dry. Snow and rain affecting western Norway.


Saturday
Showery outbreaks of rain clear east from Portugal and Spain leaving dry, bright conditions. Showers also easing over northern and central parts of Italy to leave a dry, fine day across the country. Dry and fine for Greece. Bright and sunny for much of Turkey.
Isolated showers for western and southern parts of France, Switzerland and Austria. Dry and fine for the Low Countries, Germany and Poland after early mist and fog patches clear. Dry and fine for much of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Fair for Denmark. Dry and bright for the Baltic States. Isolated snow showers affect Finland and Sweden but otherwise a fine and bright day here. Cloudier for Norway with a band of rain, sleet and snow edging northward along the west coast.
