Sunny and hot Mediterranean, some rain in Scandinavia


Friday
A clear and fine day for Spain and Portugal, temperatures reaching high 30s by midday in central regions. Dry and fine again across the rest of the Mediterranean.
France will see some heavy showers in the east and southeast, otherwise dry and fine with relatively cooler temperatures. The Low Countries are also dry and fine and feeling reasonably fresher too. A cooler outlook for Austria and Switzerland where heavier, thundery rain is expected to develop from around midday, also affecting eastern regions of Germany while the north and west stays dry and fine. Thundery, heavy showers run into western parts of Poland too.
Windy and wet across southern and western areas of Norway, drier for Sweden. Finland seeing heavy rain push across into western and northern areas. Variable cloud cover and some drizzly rain affecting Denmark for a time but mainly dry here. Largely dry across the Baltic States.


Saturday
Plenty of sunshine for Spain and Portugal. The Balearics will be hot and sunny, with more hot and sunny weather in Sardinia and Corsica. Italy will be fair again with sunshine here. Remaining fine across Greece and Turkey.
France is set for a fair day again, more sunshine and staying dry. The Low Countries remain dry and sunny with western parts of Germany also being dry. Some showery rain in the east of Germany. Poland will be mostly dry and sunny. More sunshine for Hungary although Austria and Switzerland will have some showers.
Denmark will be bright and dry. The Baltic States should be dry too. Some rain affecting the west of Finland whilst the east should be dry. Some rain in the far east of Sweden but dry for most with plenty of sunshine. Rain and showers affecting western coasts of Norway but mostly dry.
