Friday
High pressure influences much of continental Europe, bringing plenty of dry and warm weather, but isolated thunderstorms southern areas. Hot and sunny for Spain and Portugal, highs 32 to 37C inland, a little cooler around the Biscay coast. Risk of a thunderstorm in eastern areas. Mainly dry and warm across the Mediterranean, although risk of local thunderstorms for southern Italy, also mainland Greece . Breezy for the Greek Islands.
Scattered thunderstorms for northern Italy and the southern Alps. Dry and warm across central Europe. Temperatures 27 to 33C in France, warmest in the south-west. Around 23 to 26C for the Low Countries and Germany. Also hot and dry for eastern Europe, reaching 28 to 31C for Hungary, Romania & Bulgaria. Breezy with a few showers for Denmark, whilst western Norway will see frequent rain. Largely dry for Sweden, highs 17 to 21C. Bursts of rain will push north-east across Finland.


Saturday
Another hot and dry day is expected across much of central and southern Europe. Dry for Spain and Portugal, where temperatures may approach 40C inland in southern areas. Chance of a shower in the Pyrenees. Hot and dry across the Mediterranean, including southern Italy, the Balkan countries and Greece. A few showers for the central Alps. Hot and sunny around the Black Sea.
Hot across France, and dry for most. Risk rain grazing the Brittany coast. Toward evening or into the night, rain will spread across northern France into the Low Countries. Dry and very warm across Germany and Poland, around 25C. Bursts of rain around the Baltic Sea as low pressure drifts across northern Scandinavia. Brighter for southern Norway, although showery in the north-west.
