Heavy rain for Greece

Thunderstorms for southern France and western Alps

Much of the continent sees ongoing fair weather. Warmest temperatures for south-western Spain and Portugal, topping 30C. Chance of a shower for southern France and into Switzerland. Dry for northern France and the Low Countries, with highs of 18 to 20C. Dry and pleasantly warm for Austria, Italy and Germany, 18 to 22C. Light winds and early fog patches possible.
High pressure extends across eastern countries, with dry weather for Poland, Hungary and toward the Black Sea. Low pressure influences Greece, with some prolonged heavy rain possible, bringing a threat of flash flooding, plus strong winds. Rain extends into western Turkey.
Low pressure over northern Scandinavia brings cool and unsettled weather for northern Europe. Windy around the Baltic, with rain at times. Frequent showers for western Norway, but drier for northern Sweden.

Areas of thundery rain are likely to affect the Balearics and perhaps eastern Spain. A brisk wind for Spain and southern France. Up to 33 to 35C in south-west Spain and Portugal. Cooler for much of France, 16 to 20C, warmest in the south. Rain affects the Alps, with some heavy showers for Italy, where temperatures will be 24 to 27C.
The Balkans will be dry, whilst rain clears from much of Greece , although lingers toward Bulgaria and across Turkey. Eastern Europe will be mainly dry. Chance of a shower for the Romania-Hungary border region, 18 to 22C.
Cool and showery for northern Germany and southern Scandinavia. Showers also affect northern Norway, with snow over the mountains. Becoming dry for southern Norway, and dry for much of Finland and northern Sweden, 7 to 10C.
