Fair in southern Europe, fair to the north
Tuesday Pleasantly mild across southern parts of Iberia but temperatures east of Poland and across Scandinavia will stay below freezing all day. Heavy rain is expected from Britain into the northern half of France with the south dry. Some rain is likely across northern Spain, fair and dry across the south into the Balearics. After a dry morning rain spreads across the Benelux Countries and Denmark. Cold and sunny weather prevails across Sweden and Norway while heavy snow affects northern parts of Finland with the south dry. Light snow is expected across western Russia with a few snow showers across the Baltic States. Lots of fine, dry weather too to come across central parts of Europe from Germany into Poland, the Adriatic Region and across the Balkans into Turkey. Fine and mostly sunny too across Italy. A number of heavy showers are forecast south of Greece. Strong southwesterly gales will affect Biscay.
Wednesday A fair day over Spain, Portugal and the Balearics. Staying dry in Italy too with more sunshine too. Greece should be fair with sunny spells, although some showers affecting Greece. Drizzle in western France during the morning, but mostly fair in central and eastern areas. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain for the Low Countries and northern Germany. Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Fair and dry in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland. Breezy with cloud and outbreaks of showery rain. Fair for Norway overall, although some showery snow in the north. Fair for southern Sweden and the Baltic States. A risk of some heavy snow and strong winds in Finland.
