Cooler with showers and rain in central and western Europe, milder in the east
Outbreaks of rain for Portugal and western Spain on Wednesday with showers developing over northern Spain later. Staying dry and fine to the southeast. Showers continue to affect the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and Italy where they will largely be focussed to the west of the Appenines. Heavy, sometimes thundery, outbreaks of rain affect the Balkans and western Greece. Cloudier for eastern Greece while Turkey should stay dry and fine.
Outbreaks of rain spread across northwestern France and the Low Countries while afternoon showers bubble up over southern France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and southern Germany. Some of these will be thundery. Staying dry and fine for northern Germany as well as for Poland and much of Slovakia.
Denmark sees outbreaks of rain develop through the day, these affecting much of Norway as well as northwestern Sweden. Staying largely dry and fine for southeastern Sweden, much of Finland and the Baltic States.
Heavy showers over northern coasts of Spain. Bright for much of Portugal but some rain in the south. More rain in central parts of Spain, although the south and much of the east is dry and bright. Showers for Corsica, dry in Sardinia. Scattered showers in northern Italy, fair to the south. Heavier showers in Greece but fine and dry with plenty of sunshine in Turkey.
Unsettled in France with wind and heavy showers or rain in much of France. Bright in the Low Countries and dry in much of Germany. Poland will be bright and mostly dry. Some showers in western Hungary with heavier showers or rain affecting Austria and Switzerland.
Bright and breezy in Denmark. heavy rain affecting the southern half of Norway as well as southern Sweden. Bright in the Baltic States and staying dry here. Staying mostly dry in Finland as well. Some spots of rain in northern Sweden but brighter in the north of Norway.
