Mainly dry and sunny western Europe, becoming colder and more unsettled in the east

Tuesday
Drizzly rain for Spain and Portugal, drier and brighter to the north and east. Mostly dry for the western Mediterranean. Patchy rain for southern Italy and the Balkans. Areas of showers for the Greek islands and western Turkey.
A ridge of high pressure through western-central Europe brings fine weather to much of France, the Low Countries and Germany. Rain moving into northwestern France.
Local showers for Austria and Slovakia. Mainly dry for Poland. Rain and snow for southern Sweden and the Baltic states. Cold but dry in northern Sweden and across Finland with strong easterly winds. Patchy rain for southwest Norway and Denmark.

Wednesday
Fair for Portugal and Spain today with plenty of sunshine and dry weather. A fine day too across the Balearics and Italy, lots of sunshine and warm in the west. Greece will be dry but cool in the west although strong winds and rain affecting the east. Cold in Turkey with some heavy showers, snow in central and northern areas.
Drizzle and rain in western France but fine in eastern and southern areas. Rain and cloud for the Low Countries and northern Germany. Windy with some rain in northern Poland. Southern Poland and Germany should be fair. More sunshine in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Rain and wind for Denmark and the south of Sweden. Breezy in the Baltic States and dry here. Wind and some snow showers in Finland. Snow in western Sweden, some of it heavy.
