Heavy rain affecting Portugal, but drier and autumnal in central Europe

Thursday
Rain for southern parts of Italy and Spain on Thursday. Fair in northern and eastern Spain as well as the Balearics. More showers in Italy, some of them heavy. Further heavy showers in Greece. Fair for Turkey with some sunny spells.
Fair across France with cloud breaking and some sunny spells. Cooler for the Low Countries and Germany. Poland will have some showers in northern areas, but fair in central and southern parts. Hungary and Austria will be fair with sunny spells and staying fair in Switzerland too.
Denmark is fair and dry with sunny spells. Breezy with cloud and rain in the Baltic States. Finland is cool and breezy with scattered showers. Fair for the south of Sweden. Breezy northern Sweden and dry. Southern Norway will be cloudy and dry, but sleet and rain as well as strong winds and some snow in central and northern Norway.

Friday
Heavy periods of rain in Portugal. Much of Spain should be dry and bright with some sunny spells. The Balearics and much of Italy stay dry. Heavy showers in southern Italy. Wet in Greece with some heavy periods of rain here. Scattered, heavy showers in Turkey.
France will have some mist and fog in the north, this lifting slowly. Brighter spells in central and southern France. The Low Countries will have broken cloud and some showers, a few of these showers running into northern Germany and Poland too. The south of Poland, Austria. Germany and Switzerland will have some morning mist and fog, this slowly lifting.
Breezy in Denmark with cloud breaking and some bright or sunny spells coming through. Breezy for the Baltic States with a few sunny spells. Staying breezy with wintry showers for Finland. Dry for Sweden and breezy here again. Rain, sleet, snow and gales affecting much of Norway, mostly in central and northern areas.
