Gusts of 70mph on western coasts with 50 to 60mph gusts inland, these giving the potential for some damage to trees. Heavy rain extends through Scotland, northern England, Wales and the Midlands. Drier in northern Scotland, less windy here. Becoming brighter with scattered showers as winds ease in Ireland. The heavy rain and wind extends from Scotland into northern England.
