Temperatures rising, most rain in western areas, drier in the east

Turning considerably warmer through the weekend and into next week. There will be rain at times, most in the west. Drier in eastern areas and remaining warm, perhaps even becoming very warm next week.

Saturday 4/4/20
Higher pressure stays east of the UK again on Saturday. Cloudier skies to the west bringing some outbreaks of rain here. Dry for most other areas, although more cloud than recently. Always the threat of some drizzle on western coasts and hills. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Sunday 5/4/20
High pressure to the east, lower pressure to the west on Sunday. Rain affects western Ireland and western Scotland. Drier over the east of Ireland, Wales, England and the rest of Scotland with some brighter spells. best of the sunshine in central and eastern England. Highs at 19C in eastern areas, 14 to 16C in the west.
 

Monday 6/4/20
A front passes east on Monday bringing showery outbreaks of rain. This should clear the east to be followed by sunshine and showers into the west. The showers could become heavy and prolonged on western coasts and hills. Turning breezier in the west as well. Highs at 10 to 17C.
 

Tuesday 7/4/20
High pressure remains to the east of the country on Tuesday. A warm day with sunny spells, the best on the east. Cloudier skies in the west. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Wednesday 8/4/20
High pressure stays to the east on Wednesday. A front brings rain into Ireland and the west of the UK. Highs at 13 to 18C.

Thursday 9/4/20
A weak front passing eastwards on Thursday bringing a cooler day with some showery rain in northern and eastern areas. Drier and brighter in the west. Highs at 8 to 12C.
