Showers for most, rain far north and far south
An area of cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain will be passing through southern England and southern Wales this morning, crossing the est of the far south of England through this afternoon. Fairly cloud in central and northern Scotland, but rain in the north through the morning. Drier elsewhere with some sunny spells to start the day, although always a risk of more cloud in the east of England.
Showers may become more widespread in central wales and central as well as eastern England this afternoon. They could be thundery in places, heaviest probably in east Anglia. Rain and cloud in central and northern Scotland, but drier and brighter to the south. Sunshine and scattered showers in Ireland.
Tonight sees the rain clearing from southern England and then many areas being dry with sunny spells. Further outbreaks of rain in the far north of Scotland. Clearer skies for other areas.
