Unsettled
Heavy, thundery showers

Sunday
Showers and or longer spells of rain looking to affect much of the country on Sunday as low pressure tracks east across St George's Channel and then over southern England. The showers are likely to be heavy and possibly thundery in places. Gusty winds too within any heavier shower. Northern and central parts of Scotland, however, should stay largely dry with some sunny spells about, just a few showers developing further west later. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Sunday Night
Overnight, low pressure pushes offshore and tracks towards the near continent. Showers will become confined to southeastern areas of England with clear spells and dry conditions developing for most, although far western areas of England, Wales and Scotland could also see showers linger towards dawn. Lows at 3 to 7C.

Monday
Low pressure moves eastwards off towards the Low Countries on Monday. Sunshine and showers are expected, these look to become more prevalent in the east through the day with some heavy bursts forecast and possibly thunder and lightning. Best of any drier weather will be across westernmost areas of England, Wales and Ireland later on. Top temperatures near 10 to 15C.

Tuesday
An area of low pressure develops just to the north of the UK and pushes down over Scotland on Tuesday. Oubreaks of rain are expected for Northern Ireland, parts of Ireland as well as across Scotland. Rain is also forecast across southern areas of England and Wales as a separate system develops and pushes through here. Showers elsewhere with largely cloudy skies but with a few sunny intervals. Highs at 11 to 16C.
