Wet and cloudy in the west, mostly sunny with locally showers in the east.

Warm front approaching the British Isles from the southwest brings rain from the morning in Cornwall, Wales and Ireland. Other parts of England and Scotland initially stay dry, perhaps except Cumbria and parts of West Highlands. Toward the eastern coast sunny spells most common.

As the day progresses, the front moves northeast to affect in the afternoon subsequently Northern Ireland, Midlands, Pennines and southern Scotland. Rain may be heavy in N England/S Scotland late afternoon. Eastern Scotland and England get rain firstly in the evening, southeast may not get any rain at all.

Fresh SW winds, strong locally in Cumbria, Gwynedd and in the far north.

16C in Scotland and Northern Ireland, 18C through Wales and western England, to 24C in East Anglia.
