Mixed, turning cooler into the weekend but then drier next week and milder again
The weather remains mixed into next week. Low pressure will be bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain through the weekend, leading to some cooler temperatures. Early next week may start cooler but then higher pressure builds with drier weather. Western Scotland and northwest Ireland may be wet and windy at times.

A shallow area of low pressure over the south of the UK on Saturday. This is bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain to much of England and Wales, more likely in western areas. damp in western Scotland with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Eastern Scotland and the far east of England are likely to be dry with broken cloud. Brighter in Ireland as a ridge of high pressure builds with some sunny spells here. Highs at 16 to 18C in the cloudier, damper areas, 19 or 20C in any sunshine.
A weak front remains across the UK on Sunday. This brings plenty of cloud, although some spots of rain and drizzle through many south, central and northern areas as well as central and western Scotland. More rain in Ireland, this potentially more persistent. A few bright spells in the east. Highs at 21C in the sunshine, more generally 17 to 19C.
An easterly flow over southern parts of the country on Monday with low pressure to the south. There will be cloud and some spots of rain and drizzle in central, southern and eastern areas. Drier and brighter in much of Scotland and Ireland. Possibly breezy in the south. Highs at 17 to 19C.
A weak ridge of high pressure builds on Tuesday. This tends to bring broken cloud and sunny spells as well as mostly dry weather. Cloud and some rain in northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 16 to 19C.
The ridge of high pressure remains through England, Wales and southern Ireland giving a bright day with sunny spells and mostly dry weather. Increased cloud and wind in western Scotland and the far northwest of Ireland. Highs, after a cold start, reaching 15 to 18C.
