Morning Call - June 21, 2021
Rain for some
Sunshine for others

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 21st June 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Rain for some. Largely dry with sunshine in the north and west.

In the morning, expect cloudy, wet and breezy weather across the south and southeast of England with at times heavy and persistent rainfall. Meanwhile, patchy rain gradually clearing southern Scotland moving into northern England. Elsewhere, largely dry with sunny spells further north and west, although a few showers affecting Scotland.

In the afternoon, largely dry with good sunny spells across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Patchy, light rain affecting northern and central areas of England as well as Wales. Heavier rain still across some southern counties and it will stay breezy, although much of the rain should clear during the evening.

Overnight, rain across southern English counties will continue to gradually clear allowing for largely dry conditions, although coastal areas may just hang on to the rain. Any lingering patchy rain will fizzle out across central parts of England and Wales allowing for clear spells to develop here. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry, clear spells for many but cloud will thicken across the north and west during early hours.
