Persistent rain for north-west

Good morning,

The south of Britain will have another dry and very warm day, but northern regions are grey and damp today.

A zone of rain and drizzle with push slowly from southern Scotland and Northern Ireland across northern England and Wales, giving some persistent rain over the hills in the north-west.

It will turn damp for many central and south-western areas into the afternoon and evening. Meanwhile, the south-east has a risk of local thunderstorms breaking out into the evening.

Winds will be fairly light although breezy around some western coasts and hills.

Today's top temperatures reaching 25 to 28C in the south-east, but nearer 18 to 21C elsewhere, and several degrees cooler where rain sets in.

Have a great day.
Garry
