The best sunshine this morning ing Scotland, Ireland and west Wales as well as southwest England. Probably some cloud here this afternoon, best of the sunshine in northwest Scotland. A windy day in southern England, highs at 20 to 24C.
Thursday Night The chance of a local shower forming in southeast England at first tonight. Clear skies north and west, although some broken cloud. Elsewhere the cloud tending to increase again, although there will be breaks in it. Lows at 6C under clearer skies, nearer 12C in the southeast where cloud lingers.
Friday Broken cloud on Friday morning being brought into the country on an east to northeast wind. Some bright or sunny spells and a few showers afecting eastern and southern coasts. The best sunshine this morning in western Scotland, western Wales and Ireland. Staying breezy in the south. This afternoon sees further scattered showers developing in the Midlands and southwest England, but sunny periods too. Thicker cloud could affect the far northeast of England and eastern Scotland. Temperatures at 17C in cloud over eastern coasts, more widely 19 to 23C.
Saturday The east to northeast flow continues through Saturday. This brings showers or longer spells of rain to southwest England, a few showers in central and southern England. One or two spots of rain could affect eastern coasts of England and Scotland too. Drier elsewhere with broken cloud and sunny spells, the best of these in the west. Showers may become more widespread in central and southern England as well as eastern Wales this afternoon, heavy and thundery in places. Highs at 17C in eastern Scotland, 24C in southern England.
