Drier and brighter weather for the weekend, more mixed from mid-next week
Higher pressure builds into the weekend bringing drier and brighter conditions for many. There will be good sunny spells for most. It will be staying dry into the first part of the week. Conditions become more mixed into the middle stages of the week with frequent showers and outbreaks of rain for many.

High pressure should bring another fair day on Monday. They will be plenty of sunshine and it should be dry for most. The best of the sunshine in the northeast and along eastern coasts. Low pressure will bring building cloud from the west and could bring a spot of light rain into far western parts of Ireland and the UK through the late afternoon. Temperatures at 19 to 22C in the west, cooler at 15 to 17C in the east.
High pressure remains over eastern parts of the UK on Tuesday. Another dry day for eastern parts of England and Scotland with spells of hazy sunshine. Scattered showers forming across Ireland, Scotland, Wales and western parts of England as low pressure moves to the northwest. Highs widely at 19 to 22C. Cooler to the northwest at just 17C, warmer in the southeast at 24 to 25C.
Low pressure over western Ireland on Wednesday is expected to be pushing outbreaks of rain eastwards through the country during the day. The showery rain may be heavy in northern and eastern parts of Ireland and Scotland. A mixture of frequent scattered showers and sunny spells for England and Wales. Highs at 17 to 24C, cooler in the northwest at 14 to 16C.
Heavy rain affecting the island of Ireland on Thursday as low pressure stays close by. There will be a fair bit of cloud around across the UK with frequent showers for northern and western areas. Drier to the south and east. High temperatures around 15 to 23C.
Low pressure to the northwest continues to bring frequent showers and outbreaks of rain. A band of heavy rain could work its way southeastward across England and Wales. A breezy day too. High temperatures at 15 to 23C.
Pressure may build from the southeast on Saturday to bring a bright and mostly dry day to the British Isles. Occasional light showers may persist in the far north and west. High temperatures ranging from 16 to 23C.
