Chilly
Some showers

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 4th December 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Chilly though largely bright but some showers about

Outbreaks of rain across parts of central and southeast England during the morning will gradually clear to the east. Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow across Scotland too. Elsewhere, it should be mostly dry but with showers pushing in on to northern and western coasts and hills via a brisk north-westerly wind.

A largely dry afternoon but with continuing coastal showers. A line of frequent showers set up through to central regions of England leading from the Cheshire gap also. A brisk wind further west too will add to the wind chill factor in exposed places.

Plenty of dry conditions and clear skies overnight leading to a touch of frost for some. Coastal showers persist for many and even longer spells of rain are expected to clip eastern coasts of England later in the night where it will be cloudier and less chance of a frost.
