Heavy thunderstorms in central Europe, fair and hot Mediterranean
Tuesday Rain in northern Portugal and Spain, but staying dry elsewhere. Hot and pleasant with plenty of sunshine through the Balearics and Sardinia, with some showers in Corsica. One or two isolated showers throughout Italy, heavier in the south. More persistent showers in the north, turning heavy and thundery at times. Hot and dry conditions in Greece and for much of Turkey, with some light showers in the northeast. Rain in northwestern France, but staying dry and sunny for the rest of the country. Dry in Germany, with some thundery showers in eastern Poland. Showers, with some heavy bursts mixed in, across Ukraine and Romania. Drier and bright across central Europe in Austria, Hungary, and Czech Republic. Thundery and potentially heavy showers in Switzerland. Warm and dry in the Low Countries, and the risk of some light showers in Denmark. Some patchy showers turning heavy at times in the Baltic States. Dry with plenty of sunshine for much of Scandinavia, with some showers in central and southwestern Sweden, and some rain in southwestern Norway.
Wednesday Fair and hot for Spain and Portugal today. More sunshine across the Balearics and through Corsica and Sardinia. Greece and Turkey will be dry and fine with long spells of sunshine and hot temperatures. France is going to be dry with sunshine in central, northern and western areas, but some thundery rain in the south. The Low Countries and western parts of Germany should be dry and bright with sunshine here. Rain in eastern and southern Germany. Poland will be dry and sunny as well be Hungary. Austria and Switzerland will have heavy, thundery showers. Some rain to come in Denmark. Dry and fair for the Baltic States and Finland with long spells of sunshine. Scattered showers for Sweden. More persistent showers or longer spells of rain affecting Norway.
