Drier and brighter in Wales, southwest England, much of Scotland and Ireland, although some showers over northern facing coasts and hills. The ardea of rain and showers moving west this afternoon into much of the Midlands and northeast England. Staying brighter in Scotland and Ireland as well as western Wales and western England. Windy again in England and eastern Wales. Highs at 6 to 8C.

Sunday Night
Showers fading in the Midlands and eastern England tonight, although a few left on windwards facing coasts. Most persistent over the coasts of East Anglia as well as through Kent. A few showers in eastern Ireland, Clearer skies and dry elsewhere. Lows at -4C in central Scotland, -2C in Ireland, 2 to 5C in England and Wales.

Monday
Breezy again and feeling cold in England and Wales on Monday morning. Sunny spells and largely dry, but some showers in eastern areas, these potentially heavy and frequent in the far southeast. Best sunshine in western Scotland and Ireland. The afternoon sees high pressure settling over Scotland and Ireland bringing sunshine here and dry weather. Scattered showers in central and southern England, heavier and frequent showers in the far southeast. Cloudier to the south too. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Tuesday
High pressure dominates on Tuesday. There may be some fog in the morning which could be slowly to clear some areas. Once it has the day will be dry and bright with lots of sunshine. Breezier in southern England and East Anglia with some showers over eastern coasts, and the risk of some more persistent showers in the far southeast. Cloudier skies in northwest Scotland with drizzle and mist here too. Highs at 4 to 8C.
