Lots of dry weather but also lots of cloud, some drizzle in Scotland
High pressure stays dominant through the week. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry weather, especially to southern areas. Short periods of rain in northern Eng;and, briefly colder too. Always the threat of some drizzle and patchy rain as well as windier weather at times in northern and western Scotland.

A cool day with a ridge of high pressure building as a weak cold front clears south. This brings soe showery rain in the far south at first, but brighter weather will be following from the north. Some showers affecting the coasts of Scotland as well as parts of eastern England. Most other areas will be drier and brighter with some good spells of sunshine. Highs at 7 to 10C.
High pressure is to the south of the British Isles on Friday. A warm front passes north of Scotland bringing some stronger winds here, cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and rain. Drier for southern and eastern Scotland as well as most of England, Wales and Ireland, although always a fair amount of cloud. Generally dry, the best sunshine in the east. Highs at 6 to 10C.
Low pressure brings gales and a period of rain in Scotland early on Friday. Turning brighter and cooler through the day with some wintry showers on hills. Cloud and showery rain pushing into northern England and Ireland. Southern areas will be drier with broken cloud, a few spots of drizzle over western coasts and hills. Breezy for all. Highs at 8 to 12C.
An area of showers and rain crossing the country on Sunday. This could turn to sleet and snow on the hills over Wales, northern England , Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Breezier and colder with some wintry showers in northern Scotland. Breezier in southern England, mostly dry. Highs at 3 to 9C.
A northwest flow developing through Monday. Showers in the north and east, wintry on hills. Becoming brighter with sunny spells and breezy too. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 6 to 8C.
Fronts passing eastwards through Scotland and northern England on Tuesday. Plenty of cloud and some outbreaks of rai and drizzle as well as low cloud shrouding the hills here. Drier ni the south, but some drizzle over western coasts and hills. Highs at 8 to 10C.
