Mixed with thundery showers, turning more unsettled next week
Mixed weather ahead and tending to turn more unsettled next week. There will be some thundery showers around through the weekend and early next week as well as staying very warm. Low pressure brings wind and rain from the middle to later parts of next week and feeling cooler too.

Thundery periods of rain on Monday, many affecting England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern Scotland. The afternoon sees the risk of some potentially torrential showers forming in England, Wales and Ireland. Lower cloud continues to affect eastern Scotland with some mist and fog. Drier in northern Scotland. Highs at 17 to 25C.
Low pressure over Scotland on Tuesday. There will be cloud and periods of rain affecting many areas, the rain could be thundery. Just about anywhere seeing the showers into the afternoon with longer spells of rain in places. Plenty of cloud with limited bright and sunny spells. Highs at 17 to 24C.
Low pressure west of Ireland on Wednesday. This brings strong winds and rain into Ireland, reaching western Wales and western England later. More northern and eastern areas should be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 20 to 25C for many.
Low pressure remains close to Ireland on Thursday. This brings showers, frequent and heavy in the west and south. Fewer showers in eastern areas, but still some here with the best sunshine. Breezy for many. Highs at 18C in the west, 24C in the east.
Low pressure passes east of the UK on Friday. This brings wind and cloud with periods of rain and showers. Turning drier and brighter from the west with some sunny spells developing. Highs at 16 to 22C.
Sunny spells and showers on Saturday. The showers will be heaviest to the north and west. Fewer showers in the east and south. Tops near 15 to 22C.
