Rain and showers for all, cooler with gales at times

Mixed or unsettled weather in the week ahead as low pressure regains control of conditions. There will be cloud and periods of rain, some of it heavy at times, especially in the north and east. Gales will be a feature of conditions too, and it will be feeling cooler. Next week stays mixed as the winds become easterly. Most of the rain probably to the south.

Saturday 6/6/20
Low pressure will be off the coast of northeast England on Saturday. This has a front wrapped around it ans will be bringing lots of cloud, wind and rain to many areas. The focus for the unsettled weather is likely to be much of Scotland, northern England, Wales and the Midlands as well as East Anglia. Tending to be drier in Ireland and the far west of Scotland, although some showers in coasts. Drier to in the far southwest of England. Widespread gales and feeling cold. Highs at just 10 to 15C.


Sunday 7/6/20
Low pressure remains in the North Sea on Sunday. This brings another unsettled day with rain mainly affecting northern England, the Midlands, eastern and southern England too. Some rain for northeast Scotland, but drier to the west. Brighter in Ireland, but breezy and probably drier in west Wales. Showers in southwest England. Staying breezy for all. Highs at 11C on eastern coasts, 15C in the west.


Monday 8/6/20
Low pressure is east of the UK again on Monday. There will be further showres, some of them heavy and mainly affecting central and eastern areas. Drier and brighter to the west with some sunny spells here. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England.
 


Tuesday 9/6/20
A slacker pressure flow on Tuesday. Some showers in the east. Rain affecting Ireland and more western areas. Highs at 14 to 20C.


Wednesday 10/6/20
It may turn more unsettled again on Wednesday as a further area of low pressure brings more cloud and showery outbreaks of rain. It could be breezy too with highs at 12 to 17C.

Thursday 11/6/20
Low pressure may be to the south on Thursday. This brings rain and cloud to the south. Some showers in northern and eastern areas. Drier in the west. Breezy too. Highs at 12 to 20C.
